and on another note, i had to run downtown yesterday to pick up tickets for our movie premiere and attend a moveonpac "leave no voter behind" training. so that all took about an hour and a half incurring a $3 charge at the parking garage. the attendant asked me for my money, i handed him a twenty. at which point he looked at me like i had handed him a fresh turd.
"this all you have?" he scoffed.
"well, i have a dollar too but yes, that's it," i replied.
he fumbled through his till and turned to me again and sneered, "you don't have anything else?" as if it was my responsibility to carry around change.
i was getting a bit annoyed at this point and said simply, "no. that is all i have."
"give me the dollar," he said. i complied and he gave me back my twenty and let me go.
it will never cease to crack me up when people get upset when you are trying to pay them for something for which you are already being gouged and they get all bent because you don't have exact change. hey, if you are going to run a business, behind a frigging BANK for fuck's sake, get your shit together to be able to make change. or suffer the consequences.

my boy said we should've used the debate as a drinking game every time bush said "its hard work" and that dumb little war rhetoric he said over and over and over. My 9 month old niece speaks more intricately than he does. what an idiot.
