so here we are. another wednesday. hump day if you will.

someone asked on the boards for reasons to vote for kerry and reasons to not like bush. i have several which i will impart to you here (and trust me, these are but a few...)

1) environmental policy: yes, i understand that kerry will probably not place as high of a standard on protecting the environment as i would like but i suspect that he will at the very least not actively try to destroy it with inane policy that protects horrid abuse.

2) civil liberty protection: this one has so many elements. the patriot act is a farce. the prisoners in guantanamo (sp?) are being treated horribly. the idiotic constitutional amendment proposed to ban gay marriage. and last but not least, reproductive rights. all of these are problems that would potentially be improved under kerry.

3) foreign policy: there is no possible way kerry could be any worse than bush on this. after the terrorist attacks, this country had pretty much universal support and sympathy. it took all of 9 months for bush to erode that to universal hatred. nice effort chief.

so that is my political rant for the day. i guess you guys would probably prefer i return to limericks huh?
