today is friday and we are rolling into another long weekend (for me anyway). for this... i am one happy stubert.

several items of interest come to mind for all us us-livin' types. i know it is hard to get too interested in the goings-on of our jackassed political system but there are some serioulsy important things going down about which we should all, at the very least, be informed.

numero uno: same-sex marriage...
guys and gals, no matter your affiliation, this is an issue which effects us all. this is about equality plain and simple. call your senators and representatives and let's put a stop to all this nonsense about changing the constitution and whatnot. marriage should be about love, no matter who is the recipient of that love (farm animals and kids excluded).

dos: cloning and stem cell research...
just the other day, it was announced that north korea has successfully cloned a human embryo for use in stem cell research and therapy. this is a good thing. support these efforts and let's send out a message to those in power that we need to junp on this train. it is good for the race.

and tres: the upcoming election...
i am guessing you know how i feel on this one. but in case that isn't clear, let's rally the troops to dethrone (p)resident dickhead. his administration will continue to demolish all that we hold dear (nekkid chicks on the internet) and we all need to get involved to help fuel his ouster.
