well ladies and gentlemen, i was quite ill yesterday and have (once again) sworn off restaurants. let's just say that i was not well and leave the gorey details out of it.
however, i did manage to rally the proverbial troops and go to the primus show last night. i figured it was a concert... people are used to getting puked on from the mezzanine, right? rawk and roll!!!! \m/

*note: no vomitus or other bodily fluids were launched from any overlooks during aforementioned show. by dis guy at least...
so i just wanted to take a moment to give a few shouts out to my fellow concert-goer type peeps who made the evening memorable.
first and foremost (and to put this whole prop-giving in perspective), concerts and wheelchairs do not necessarily good bed-fellows make. my sweets and i first of all had to travel down the street as the sidewalks were jammed. then i almost pushed her into some drunken jackass swinging a stick around behind him. so i'll give myself the first shout out for being a bad wheelchair pusher type person and the second will go to mr. intoxicant stick wielder for well... just being a jackass.
shout tres: thanks to the security fellas/ladies for not even suggesting that we should be escorted to the handicapped section. you rule.
holla four: to the one dude in the whole show who actually turned around, made eye contact and asked if my lady could see ok. you REALLY rule (that one was serious people... keep up, k?)
props to the sweat monkey who ran into the waitress who then proceded to spill BAD beer down the back of my sweetie and her chair. you are awesome. i hope you get hit by a yugo.
and mad props to each and every one of you who felt like crawling over both of us in order to get to the beer stand was courtesy incarnate. yeah... we're trying to SIT ovah heah!!!
so, lest you think that the show was all bad (which it wasn't... i am just making a point here). the following is today's edition of poetry limerick wednesday ala stubert:
primus is a band i remember
first seeing in '90, december
well i saw them last nite
lemme say they're ah'ight
bassist les still has fingers quite limber
and another
there once was this fella named claypool
whose bass chops were both nimble and playful
his band name is primus
who may oft incite violence
but i tells ya, these mothas are way cool
so there. one long entry, six shout outs, two limericks. who could ask for more?

is it a bad sign when you go to a concert and you say "i can't understand a word these kids are singing" or "i need to sit down, my back is killing me" or "what time is it, they have been playing forever, are they done yet?".....just wondering
