ok. so today i have jury duty which prohibits me from driving my sick kitty to the vet. subsequently, my sweetness is taking her in which is nerve-wracking (sp?) because she is also sick and isn't really supposed to be driving right now. so i got that goin' for me, which is nice.

the NTSA reported today that 42643 people died on U.S. highways last year. though this is a decrease from previous years, approximately 40% of these deaths were alcohol related. that means that over 17000 people died last year due to drunk driving. pathetic.
