I just heard the rationalization of a deadbeat dad.

his choice for being a father was "taken away from him" by the unplanned pregancy. Hmmmmm, sex has been known to cause children, but I suppose if one's completely incapable of taking responsibility for their actions, this works.
his child was held hostage from him and his family. This part's even more amusing, as his family tends to agree if he does nothing to help support his child, he shouldn't really be around.
Now I'm not sure when raising a child on ones one, w/ no help whats so ever, started counting as "holding them hostage"
or when telling someone, they either has to be there and help, was the same as taking away their choice.
There was plenty of choice as I recall. Along w/ the choice to borrow money repeatedly and dip in and out of a child's life. But then again, some take responsiblity for their actions, and some don't. I guess it all depends if you understand and believe in free will. Or if you live the life of a victim.
