So, my roommate is trying to set me up with some girl and, to be honest, I don't know how to feel about it. Kyle (that is my roommate) has been talking through his girlfriend to a friend of hers named Mellysa (she is French, which may explain the odd spelling). I totally appreciate his effort and everything, because I am too shy to try and get a date on my own. There are some things about this that I don't really know how to react to though.
1. Kyle is totally just trying to get me laid. I don't think he really appreciates the fact that I am not solely interested in sex, which makes me wonder what he may have told her or be planning to tell her. Plus, the fact that she lives in another city makes it evident that he clearly only intends to set it up for some sort of sexual encounter.
2. With that in mind, it brings me to another point. She is a virgin. That in itself is no big deal, I could care less. The thing is, if things did go in Kyle's intended direction I don't think I could, in good conscience, take a girls virginity. It just doesn't seem right. Although, according to him, she is "dying to lose it"
3. Thirdly, like I said, she lives in another city. What happens if I really fall for her? I don't know if I would want to get stuck in some sort of long-distance relationship. It just seems like too much work for me right now.
Whatever, I guess we will see what happens. On the plus side, Kyle's girlfriend aparantly considers me to be an 8/10 in appearance (although, I don't know if her friend will agree) which is a pretty big ego boost. I would only give myself a 4.
