Tomorrow I take the ferry to Bari, Italy from Dubrovnik, Croatia. We have to stay over the night there before we board yet another ferry, this one overnight to the Greek port of Patras (i think that is how you spell it).
From there its Athens, some Island suburb of there and then the Isles.
I am sad about leaving Croatia, since it has truely...

Croatia is fucking amazing.
It probably would have been even more amazing if I had not turned down what could have been a possible threesome with two hot chicks from Zadar because I had been up for two straight days, travelled for 20 or more hours and could barely function let alone walk.
If I had gone with them and it had gotten to that...

Your trip seems to be going well!
Yes, it's been a good week for Celtic.

Change of plans.
We are now headed to Vienna. I am taking the train from Paris tonight at 11pm and we will be in Vienna tomorrow at 2ish I think.
Then after two days we go to Slovenia, stay in the capital of Ljublanja for two nights and then down to Croatia. I have friends there and we are trying to meet up, the problem...

I mean the World Cup in general. Celtic is coming here on July 14th. So excited!!!!

Dude, I've been scrathing my head trying to figure this shit out so much I'm gonna get a bald spot.
I know you hate Arena, and you know I love him. That said, I can't understand anything that happened yesterday. I suppose every plan goes out the window when you're 1-0 down after 4 minutes, but nobody other than Johnson performed even close to acceptably. I have to think that things looked much better during practice and the Angola scrimmage, but I really don't understand it.
As to the specific points you mentioned, Convey's had several games on the left and Reading fans I see on the net say he does very well for them there. I agree that Donovan's best as a #10, but Arena's always played him up top when Reyna's playing, so that's not really a big change. Pope was in because Gibbs is out. He's definitely lost a few steps, but his experience and positioning sense put him well above Boca and Berhalter in my book. Wolff pissed me off to no end. He made his career off a couple of great games 5 years ago but he's been a shadow of himself since his various injuries over the years. I really don't understand why he came in instead of Dempsey, who would've brought the daring attitude we so desperately needed. Of course, I'm saying that as a Revs fan, but most others seem to agree.
I don't mind that Beasley was on the right because he plays there frequently for PSV. I do mind that he got the start, as he's clearly dipped in form over the last year (since the broken leg), he hasn't played much for PSV and he's looked like shit for us in the friendlies. When you throw in the recent DUI in Holland you have to wonder about his mentality. Maybe he looked good in practice, but to me his 1st touch has actually gotten worse and I was shocked at his unwillingness to take players on. I really hope we see Dempsey on the right against Italy.
What really gets me is that I've read so many US statements about how they're preparing to stop Koller from getting free headers in the box. Then Rosicky comes out and says that Bruckner told the Czechs to get behind our wings and send crosses in . When everyone clearly understands what's going to happen you can't fucking allow it 4 minutes into the fucking game!!!! It's killing me that it played out like that because the only explanation is a lack of focus on the part of our players. There was no surprise, everyone spelled it out long before time, and we still let it happen uncontested.
Oh well. Hopefully our guys will get there heads straight, Arena will change the team based on the performances and the Italians will look past us to the Czech game. I still believe we can get 2 wins, but it's not going to happen with the team we sent out yesterday.
Anyways, you should head to Germany even if you don't have tickets. With all the fine Brazillian booty I'm seeing on tv you could be screaming Gooooooooooooooooooooooal every night!

dogpound quote of the day
"Tarver has to be the worst Rocky opponent ever.
He aint even ripped and he has got a head like a bean, plus he is a light heavyweight. What were they thinking getting that tool to be a opponent."
LoL.
Man, that cracked me up

I've read the book about the 1916 Easter Uprising. Very interesting.
But I write to you to say
This lad is a legend now for the Catalans and I was wondering what your feelings are about him.

Henry gave all the credit to Larson, and he really deserved it.
It's funny, one of the guys at the bar made a comment about how the pitch must've been slick because everyone was falling right before the Eboue incident. I'd like to say he slipped, but I won't say he didn't dive.
Unfortunately, that same guy said "there's going to be 2 more goals in this game and whoever gets the first one will win" at the 70th minute as well. Fucking douschebag!

yeah, I thought Collazo outworked him after the first round. I thought it was an acceptable decision but it was Collazo's belt. COuld have gone either way or to a draw.
I'd like to see the fight again -- champ should get a rematch in that situation.

Yeah, if there's anywhere societal norms should be discontinued, it's court!

timmy55:
Good to boost the squad but I'd be surprised if he starts many games.
timmy55:
Yeah, I watched it in the pub. It wasn't a great game but it was well contested for a testimonial.
Certain players deserve their share of the blame (and some deserve credit as well) but at the end of the day it's clear that Arena made major errors, some of which he repeated. Thanks for the first 7 years Bruce, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
