Big update, and an important announcement at the end!
I haven't had much time to spend on SG as of late. I've been so busy with work, (which sucks, by the way, but more on that in a sec....) and trying to get the house in order. Blondie and I have been at each other's throats due to all of the stress, and that's been hard on our relationship as a whole. We're still clinging to each other and holding on tight though... if we can get through everything that's happened in the past two years, we can make it through anything!!!
Work, as I mentioned above, sucks. I'm working in a Computer repair shop in Arlington, MA. I'm fixing computers all day and cleaning up the messes of people who should NEVER touch a computer. I have customers that just don't understand why I can't fix their laptop, even after I explain that they brought it in with the case smached and cracked from having been dropped numerous times, the power cord has been soldered directly to the motherboard because they broke the power connector sometime in the past, the keyboard is missing half of the keys, and it's blatently obvious that they spilled coffee on the machine and never bothered to try to clean it out. No, you're machine won't boot up becuase it's a piece of shit, and honestly, I hope you never get another computer because it would be cruel and unusual punishment to the computer!!!
Hmm... think I'll start bringin in a camera to take pictures of some of the stuff I see, then make a website to post it all on.
Anyway... the job is so far below my skill level that I am actually feeling myself dumb down. I just hope I don't eventually reach the negative IQ level of some of my customers! "No, you're system can't be fixed without reloading the operating system. Do you understand that more than 56,000 files on your computer were infected with the Netsky virus?! Can I verify your mailing address in our system? I'd like to mail you a quarter so you can buy a clue!"
Yeah... so life... still sucking, but better than it's been in a long while!
