Usually my folks do a bang-up job with gifts, but I was a little disappointed in them this year. (Hell, Phil made out better than I did!) The main things I got were a new tracksuit and pair of snowboots, which were on my list as things I needed, but I didn't really get any cool or fun shit.
(And what the hell possessed my mum to think I'd actually *like* a Hallmark ornament depicting a multi-tasking soccer mom?! C'mon! You know me better than that!

Oh well, can't win 'em all. My gifts were big hits with everyone, and that makes me happy. I did get a little money for Christmas, however, and now I'm going out to spend it on some things I actually wanted!
PS - Saw Narnia last night, and I give it 2 thumbs up. The movie followed the book to the dot, much as the first 2 Harry Potter films did. I reckon any upcoming movies from the Narnia Chronicles would do so as well, for none of them got nearly as long as the Harry Potter books did! Was also reminiscent of the LOTR movies in a lot of ways.

my mom pulled the same bit with me...practical crap, lots of it not what i asked for, and of all dumb things a preppy as all get out international zip up sports turtleneck with "FRANCE" written across it (i know France is cool, but i hate sport clothing and eek she bought it cause she has one that says SPAIN on it)...it was like that scene in A Christmas Story where the kid gets the hot pink bunny suit...everyone in the family but mom was laughing at me and my ill luck.
hooray for xmas money to make up for all the practical gifts and disappointments.
