Happy Birthday to me... 
Yesterday at work, I get a phone call... telling me that my dear friend, Michael Irving, aka "Swirv" had died the night before... apparently of an overdose... we dont know yet, if we ever will, if it was intentional, or accidental..
This is killing me... Ive known him since I was 14... I talked to him wednesday morning... we laughed and joked like we always do... neither of us knowing that less than 24 hours later he'd be gone... he told me he'd be here for my birthday... swore up and down... promised me.... I'll never get to see his face again... his smile that could make my day better no matter how upset I was... his stupid jokes that always made you laugh...
Today I turn 25... kind of a milestone... and all I can think of is a life lost... I dont know how I'll manage to make this a good weekend...
Having your birthday and valentines day in the same week, really sucks... let me tell you...
The show must go on, I suppose... my friends are on their way from PA... plans are made... anyone local, we'll be at Dave n Busters tonight in Providence....
Rest in Peace, Swirv... you've got a permanent place in my heart...
