I love cats, especially my friend Ellen but also a room mate named Arwyn, and my former best friend Lucy (rest in peace), and all the cats that take care of my friends here on SG. Felines are lovely companions and what I love most about them is that they have very clear boundaries and ideas about consent. If a cat doesn't want you to pet them, they will walk away. If a cat wants privacy, they will hide. I want to know that when I am displaying affection for someone, they want it. And cats meet that need for me. I want to send all my love to all the humans reading this, and any cats they are friends with! Boundaries are important, cats practically EMBODY good healthy boundaries, and every human can learn a lesson from that.
