Well, It's been a few weeks since I finally followed through on joining SG. It's something I've always considered but never got around to. If I'm being honest, I was drunk when I finally signed up. Isn't that how is goes sometimes, we need something to get us out of our own way. I've always thought this was an intriguing idea. A site to offer the opportunity to celebrate the unique, people who don't conform to the standards of society's aesthetic. A group that can be every bit as beautiful as the supposed "beautiful people" of the world. A world that seems so fake in so many ways. Sure I could describe the way of that world but we've all seen the back stabbing, the fake friendships, people using others but what good does that do? We never get anywhere by focusing on the negative. Instead, the positive is much more inspiring. Since I've joined, I've seen a group that supports each other, not because they have to but they choose to. In this group, that many in this world have looked down upon, they show the ideal we should all be working towards. Until all people get to that point, we will remain so much less than we can be.
