I fucking -love- music. I spend a lot of time looking for new albums and every couple of weeks I take all my favorite songs from these albums and spend six hours or so crafting a mix CD (I say crafting because I obsess over the order of the songs and it takes SIX HOURS.) I used to do this because I had a half-hour walk to work and the mix CDs made me actually enjoy the walk. Now, however, I don't walk to work, but I can play CDs while working, so that's my current inspiration.
Anyhow, once in a while I find a CD which is packed with great songs, so my mix CD ends up with half the album on it. The last album that good was "Turn on the Bright Lights" by Interpol. This month I've opened my Christmas present early, in the words of Jack White, and it is "Elephant" by the almighty White Stripes.
All I can say is Good Lord, that CD is going to silence the naysayers and I'm counting down the days `till I can give them their money, because fuck if they didn't earn it.
