Wow.
Did my first shift at the club tonight. They're training me in the kitchen this week, then I'll move to the door next week. They want us to be able to cover both.
It was slooow. There's not much to the cooking. It's all deep fried food, so I just have to drop the stuff in the fryer. Easy. The manager came into the kitchen and found me actually reading the employee's handbook. The cook that's training me was out front talking to the bar staff and watching the girls. The manager informed me that it was my duty, as a man, to go out and watch the girls dance. He also mentioned that, other than free iced tea, it's the only perk to the job.
So I did what I was told and went out and watched the girls between orders until it was time for us to clean up. I can't believe I'm getting paid to do this.
