So everything that I promised in the last entry happened. I promised singing. it happened. I promised food. It happened. I promised snow. It happened. I promised fire spinners, italian punk rock, bonfires, togas (and no togasbiggrin )and drinking. Check, check, check, check! and HOLY SHIT! CHECK on the drinking! Back to the drinking in a minute. But first I need to thank Nikki for throwing a bitchin' shindig! The party was fucking awsome. There were between 30 and 60 people there at any given time. The actual number fluctuated since people came and went all night, but the average stayed somewhere around 35 most of the night. True to the invitation no one got in without bringing a bottle of wine. And we all made good use of the wine, you do the math on how much wine we had. I have decided that I dont like wine at all. Its all very bitter. And holy shit! I can drink for days on end some of the god awful shittiest things that even satan wouldnt think to send down the gullet of a man and not get a hang over. But put the equivelent of a bottle of wine in me and I get damn sick in the morning.
But it was worth it. Well worth it. The mingling was absolutley exquisite. So many people from so many places and so many persuasions. From Schmitty, I'll get to him in a second, to the guy in the loin cloth and nothing else it was just good all around. About Schmitty: He kept stealing my shoes. See, the bonfire was outside, as a bonfire should be, and there was snow on the ground. So when I came inside from the bonfire I had to take my shoes off so as not to get the hardwood floors slippery and cause a serious drunken accident. When I would go back to the bonfire my shoes would be gone and I would have to go outside in my bare feet looking for them. Naturally, me being extremly off the wagon at the time, I would forget why I went outside as soon as someone would start a converstation with me. Standing in the snow, barefoot, is actually very realxing. Especially when your feet go numb. I lost count of how many times I lost feeling in my feet. Eventually I remembered about the shoes and reclaimed my lost footwear. Then Schmitty and I had a drink. So all was well in the land of wine and snow. There were two distinct highligts to the evening. The first was when two girls decided to put on a whipping show for everyone. I must admit that, when one naked girl bends over a table and another naked girl whips her it puts everything into a whole new prespective and tends to make a party that much better. The second event was when the fire spinners performed. It was awsme to say the least. Men and women in togas spinning flames around their very bodies. Just great that was. The best part was when my friend Zane got up and spun for himself. I was incredibly impressed since I didnt know he could do it. And he was really good too. When 4 am rolled around and all the lights in the house went out, those of us crowded around the bonfire decided that none of us were sober enough stumble through the dark house to get more wine so it might be time to retire to one of the many air mattresses in the den. The last thing I remeber was falling asleep next to the guy in a loin cloth and nothing else. An extremley good time was had by all and urge anyone reading this to do the same.
Here's to love and fun! Cuz it was everywhere that night.
