The Universal Liberal Conspiracy

As all good conservatives know the Main Stream Media, or MSM, has a well know liberal bias. But the whole truth is that this insidious liberal plot may run much even deeper than they first imagined. It turns out the liberal bias in the MSM is just the tip of the iceberg. As I have learned from my conservative friends over...

A Wasted Opportunity on Tax Day

Yesterday was "Tax Day". It was also a day of protest across the country. According to the media, there may have been as many as 700 Tea Parties. The organizers claim they are grassroots outpourings of outrage over government spending. But an objective analysis of who was actually running the show, points not to local grassroots organizers, but a...

I am so proud of my state today. In spite of the closed mindedness of a few Neanderthals, The Iowa Supreme Court cleared the way for same sex marriage in Iowa today.

A friend of mine sent me this video. It really makes you think.

So I have reached the end of day 5 of the renovation project and spring break is over. I did not accomplish as much as I would have liked but I did get far enough I feel like I accomplished something. The bathroom is rebuilt and drywalled on the outside. Still left to go the electrical work and the plumbing, but those will be much...

Well day 4 of the bathroom renovation finds me back on the right track. I finally got the shower installed. It is the center piece of work I am doing. It is huge for a shower, 4 feet wide and almost 3 feet deep, which means plenty of room for two. Hopefully, today I can finish framing the bathroom.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

I did not make as much progress as I had hoped yesterday. As I tear apart the house I find all kinds of things wrong and this project has not been an exception. So spent yesterday building a temporary set of supports so I could cut out a piece of rotten cross beam. Then I installed the replacement cross beam and added some additional support....

You are quite the handy man! I love this stuff. All your hard work will be so rewarding in the end smile
stoothman:
Thank you, Mizoo. When you have a 100 year old house, I think you have to become a handy man by necessity. I am just trying not make any major mistakes as I work on it and that usually means it turns out pretty well.

Looks like your renovations are coming along well! Good luck on framing, wish I could help.
And Thanks for the kind words.
