Help Stop America's Moral Decline

In homage to Jonathan Swift, a long reply to a comment on another site I decided to post here as well.

Steebo, you and others have finally convinced me our country is in a moral decline. But I do not think you are going far enough, we need to outlaw all forms of sexual behavior. We really do not need it any more since technology is more capable of handling all of our procreation needs. Then we can make sure that only the right kind of people can get pregnant. We can make sure that every parent is properly licensed and will provide the right type of loving Christian environment to raise a child.


And think about all the other issues we will solve. There would be no more teen pregnancy or abortion, since sex is illegal. Since so many issues will be solved by this solution it is a wonder we have not thought of it before. There would be more he said/she said in rape cases, since sex is illegal we just throw them both in jail. There would be no more generation after generation of welfare moms because they could not afford to get artificially pregnant.


The only issue will be enforcement. But I think we can easily solve that by putting cameras in every room of every house, apartment, motel, and hotel in the country. Then we will need to hire people to work in our new Department for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. And we will need to build a lot of new prisons and hire staff for all of the violators. In fact we will need so many installers and monitors and prison guards, that this maybe the ticket out of the current economic crisis.


Of course there will be some dissenters who will erroneously claim this is a violation of their privacy. But since we know that privacy is not guaranteed by the Constitution, that should not be a problem. And since we know all those dissenter will soon become criminals anyway, we can just preemptively imprison them for their own protection. We may need even more prisons. And since most of those dissenters are godless liberals and their fellow travelers, we will purify the voter ranks at the same time since felons can not vote.


Of course the one fly in the ointment is we will still have the issue of Marriage Equality to deal with, because it is not about sexual behavior. But I am sure with only good god fearing folks allowed to vote we can just amend the Constitution to include the Bible and start stoning those evil homosexuals just like God intended.
