Well after closing out the bar on Friday night, I did not think I was going to be up for going out again Saturday. But I managed to get a second wind and headed out for a fundraiser for the Mid Iowa Rollers, our local womens flat track roller derby team. I know one of the "chicks" on the team. I must say the roller derby girls were indeed a rowdy bunch. But it was a lot of fun, I got to hear a bunch of really bad karaoke and drink some good beer. I even won a prize in the raffle. The team is just starting out and this year will be their first official season.
The Mid Iowa Rollers have their first game on March 28th and would like every one to come out and cheer them on as they dominate Topeka, KS. The bouts are held at Skate South and start at 7:00 PM. The cost is a reasonable $10 at the door. So I will see you all there.
