Why do you keep referring to one extreme orthodox faction as the cornerstone of Islam itself? That's like saying the Amish speak for all Christians and Christianity is relegated to Pennsylvania.

Islam isn't relegated to some deep backwater any more than Judaism is relegated to the same area. They both exist in the most prominent areas on earth. Because a few Sunni Muslims have chosen to use their religion to justify murder doesn't make the religion wrong, it makes the murderers wrong.

I don't hear you decrying Christians that want God in the White House like you do Muslims who look for the same in their countries.

I'm 40, raised in Portland, and we never did the air raid thing when I was a kid. I think I missed the air raid tests, hide under your desks, duck-and-cover thing by a couple of years. We had these huge air raid sirens on top of buildings all over town, but I don't know if I ever heard them go off. Eventually they were dismantled.

Now, growing up in Alaska, with the bombers threatening your airspace, I guess maybe you were a little closer to the "front".

That video is sad. That guy looks like a fatality - or maimed at the very least.
