Theres a Mormon person who I used to work with and just ran into at the store. we exchanged pleasantries but she didn't appreciate my asking if she has left the church yet. This is of little import really. It got me to thinking about the whole dilemma of the FLDS, its covert members in the normal church and how fucked it all is. I had had talks before with my former co-worker who comes from a large family and has "kin" who are FLDS nutjobs. She argued that issue is difficult because it is really intertwined with families. Anyways as i walked home i was thinking...so what if they are members of your family, they support if not get directly involved in polygamy and child rape. My parents turned me into the cops for having some stolen property!! I mean what does family matter if the person is really fucked up? Family are those people who make your life better, water should be thicker than blood.

And on that note, why shouldn't we talk to strangers? I would not want to make babies with family...
