There was a panel on Latina writers and one on translating contemporary South American poets, those just rocked.

Before...

Jiu-jitsu has been the perfect daughter/father sport for me and my girl. She took 2nd at NAGA yesterday. She lost to a boy, she made a technique mistake... I asked the coach to now roll her against boys to prepare her better... She wants to compete at State in a month.

this thursday i am teaching a journal writing workshop for employees and volunteers of Hospice. they are going to then take that information and teach families and patients journaling as a way to deal with grief. this is going to be interesting...

still getting my ass kicked by this semester, i need to stay afloat to spring break so i can fight to get ahead...

I finished the three essays for my graduate school applications. One for Antioch in LA, Warren Wilson in NC, and Bennington in VT. All of them low residency MFA programs. I also decided on what 10pgs of poetry I would send them, and got those edited and printed.

This semester is really kicking my ass though...

I have been reading a bunch of British Literature,...

i love cats. i just scared the shit out of mine, and i know he is plotting his revenge now.

writing entrance essays as we speak.

i found this place to hide and write at my college. we have a small "museum", it is one huge room, with tall ceilings and wood floors. it is the oldest part of the college. nobody goes in there,...

I'm jealous of the place you're referring to as the museum, it's so true that some places really inspire you whereas others make it almost impossible to get any work done.

And be sure your cat is plotting his revenge - they are so much more clever than we think.
