I am lost without a bicycle. Money was tight this summer, so I did not finish the two classic Schwinn bikes I am building. One will be my commuter, the other my trainer. So I have been riding my Specialized mountain bike for everything. I broke a pedal on Friday.

I managed to get free clipless pedals awhile back, I just hadn't them on because I was going to use them on my fixie. So, I go shopping for shoes on Friday night, and they are like $80 here in town. Which isn't bad, but I found a really good set for $40 shipped to me on the net (they were on sale). Now I have to wait...

I have been reading some Sandra Cisneros and not much else. The library at the college has been closed, so my book on inter-library loan hasn't come yet

But the semester starts in two weeks, I am stoked I managed to make honor roll last semester
