so, i have a challenge for myself. list three things i believe in...and, easier, three things i do not believe in.
i believe in -
1. me. you. us. we all have the power to change anything about ourselves. it may take a long time. but, nobody has any more power over us than we do. we can all be what we want. (it might not pay very well though...)
2. this is not all that there is. it's all that matters right now. but, there is something else behind this.not necessarily before-life or after-life...just aside from.
3. love. but it takes a shitload of work. it's equal parts chemical, intellectual and just plain choice. most everything is a choice. (see 1)
i do not believe in -
1. god. (see 2 above) - there is "something" else but necessarily "someone" else. certainly nobody or thing that has any great concern or control or even a vested interest in us. (see 1 above...again)
2. success. this is an odd one. i don't think that goals and dreams are ever satisfied. once you get what you want, you just want something else. there is no end, no peak, no day of rest. i have acheived much of what i have wanted from life...i have had more success than most people i know but i will always be a failure to me...
3. knowing. life is just ideas. i will always change my mind. i will never remain static. i don't think anything is 100%. least of all me and my ideas.
