Kansas City! Kansas City here I come....
So, in KC until Wednesday. So, far, so good. I mean, I've cut off a few people, killed a couple of small children, and drank "pop" instead of "soda" or "coke," but all in all, I think it's been a successful trip. Saw my brothers art show, which was great. He's so fuckin' talented....I'm so proud of him.
And met up with my friends Bess, her husband Joe, and Rachel and celebrated the triple birthday run (Bess is the 21st, mine the 23rd, and Rachel the 25th).
Rachel's so amazing. I didn't think it would be possible to like someone who was also a Gemini, but she's so great.... If only we lived in the same city. But something's telling me to just wait. Hmmmm..... (and that someone is an asian midget standing next to me. I wish he would stop whispering into my ear. It's giving me a headache and turning me on...)
And this awsomely drunk guy came up and wanted Rachel to dance with him. He even bought her a rose from the rose lady! So of course she said yes, and of course, we then filled the dancefloor taking pictures.
Of course, the night was also topped with Karaoke. Bess did her famous version of "Baby Got Back," Joe did "Bust a Move," I rocked the inner Bon Jovi within me with "Blaze of Glory (and got repeated high fives from the Karaoke guy throughout the performance)," and Rachel finished it off with "Lovefool (which she got lost in and I then came to help her out)."
And the next day? Well, my childhood friend/sudo sister Maria got married! It's the first wedding I've been to (and I've been to many) that I got really emotional. Seeing her walk down the aisle....
All of that topped off with my nephew Drake's birthday party, which my sister hired "Spider-Man" to come to. He was actually pretty good (retired gymnast), but Drake got totally fuckin' freaked out and froze. Wouldn't talk to him or anything. It was high-larious!
And today's my birthday! (I'm editing this on the 23rd). Woo-Hoo! 27! Gonna hit the big 30 soon! And that's been my KC trip (so far, that is). Still need to pick up some hookers downtown and I'll have a new roll for that. It's kinda sad, though, cause the hookers her in KC are sooooo homley that you kinda feel bad. Not "let me help you out and get chlamydia.," but sorta sad. They just don't make 'em like they used to...
