My back tattoo has begun...
It's going to consist of three different tattoos. This first part is on my right shoulder blade and is "The Origin of Love" by Plato and the art from "Hedwig and the Angry Inch." The second part will be art representing a major changing year in my life, which will be on the left shoulder blade. And the third will be in the middle, connecting all three and will be a Native American symbol. Pretty cool, eh?
Not familiar with "The Origin of Love?" The story goes: In the beginning of time, all humans were perfect. They had two heads, four arms, and four legs. Blissful, but arrogant, and the Gods grew tired of us mocking them. So Zeus threw down a thunderbolt and split everyone in half. He then sewed us up and left a mark so we'd remember what we lost (i.e. our belly button). He then gathered the great winds and spread us all across the globe, and told us to appreciate life and not be so arrogant, or he'd split us again. So now, for the rest of our lives, we search for our other "half" so we may be whole again, and we will become "one" again while making love. Pretty cool, eh?

Just found out amazing news, however, which is that RENT has extended its Broadway show to 3 September, so I will be able to go and see it LIVE on Broadway when I'm in NY!!!! Really. Fucking. Excited. I plan to get the best seats available - I mean, I'm travelling from another country already and the show is ending forever at the end of the month I am going to see it in... what's another $100 in those circumstances? Or so goes my reasoning.
