Wow.
Fox News has really been a great instructional tool of the right wing to a lot of jackasses out there. The main lesson? When you have no real point to make or nothing of substance to bring to the table make the biggest spectacle you can by making an ass of yourself by being as inflammatory and nonsensical as possible.
How have people taken this message to heart?
By bringing their penis compensation devices to presidential events.

Nothing says "I'm open to an intelligent, reasonable, productive discourse" more than bringing assault rifles to political events!
I have no problem with gun ownership but 1. I think there needs to be a mandatory psych evaluation given to all those buying guns (done at the potential owners expense), and 2. they are not effective tools of protest...they make you seem like a hamfisted bully with nothing to offer but leadership by force and violence.
Now, I know these people are used to getting away with that in both domestic and foreign policy for the past eight years but as this is a new day of an educated, thoughtful presidency these little boys and girls need to put away their toys, learn to use their words, and then maybe they might be taken seriously at the grown-ups table.
Until then, they are nothing but whiny, ill mannered, snotty, selfish children in serious need of a time out.
(this not only goes for the right wing nut bars but it also goes for those on the far left...I'm looking at you Pelosi...who are so set on doing things the old way...the I'm taking this position just because it is contrary to their position....the we arent going to do anything cause no one will back down, no one will compromise, no one will put their necks out there away from their party cause, well, they might not get re-elected....who also need to grow the fuck up and start doing whats right and not whats popular)
its times like this I just want a wise immortal to be emperor...none of this petty bickering, no politically scripted talking points, no more 'those who make the most noise get the most attention'...just one person we can all trust to do what is honestly in our best interests...a person not bought and paid for by countless interest groups. I swear if, as a child, I acted like these politicians and pundits and so called 'journalists' I would have ended up in military school.

after reading this over I have two things left to say...
1. Walter Cronkite had more skill and know how than any 'reporter' alive today and more personal integrity than any politician...he should have been immortal.
2. Why cant Superman be our leader?
