This weekend was amazing!
me and three friends went down to Baltimore on thursday to see the prefest show. We get there to late soooooooo we buy a shit load of records at Reptilian records. Theeeeen we go back and I talk with the door man for my friends and I was like we really only want to see 1 band and that is it, the Tattletales. He was like OK, but you and your friends can't buy beer and you will have to stay in there, no reentry for you guys. So we got to see 3 really good bands for free! Nancy, Delay, and the Tattletales! I recomend you look them up on myspace if you like pop punk or punk rock.
Friday we went driving around Baltimore before the fest, we found an awesome record store, which I sadly didn't buy anything, but my friend dropped 140 bones! It had a good selection of music. Then we went to Insubordination Fest. We sadly missed the first band, which we wanted to see, the Chinese Telephones. We saw awesome music, up until right after the Unlovables finished and the power went off. I did however meet some awesome people, some are among the SG community. The lovely Anarchie, the very fun(I missed her on the second day)Suri, and punknitemike. They are some fun and interesting people. Well with the power out I think it made the fest better! it brought the community closer, some of the bands played accoustic sets outside and it was excellent! Then since they couldn't fix the power they shutdown the show for the night, but Vena Cava, Egghead, Dear Landlord, and The Ergs played an illegal space that was filled to the gills with people! That is the way to do punkrock!!!
The next day they squoze the bands in who couldn't play like the Methadones, the Ergs and Head. I wish I could tell you all that went on, but I can tell you The Guts brought out Wimpie the old singer of the Queers and they rocked the shit out with old Queers songs. Ben Weasel had Danny V. play 2 songs, a Riverdales and a Screeching Weasel song. The Copyrights rocked, The Methadones were amazing, I saw the Ergs play 3 awesome sets(Mike Erg played a shit ton, since he is in 5 bands that played this weekend! The Unlovables, The Steinways, Parasites, Short Attention, and The Ergs). This weekend freakin rocked, but I feel like a trainwreck! I hope you guys enjoyed your weekend!
