I saw Hostel tonight. It was on the disappointing side!
This may give a little away, I will try and be as vague as possible.
Well I already went into the movie with low expectations on the story line and high expectations on the blood/gore. Well I found the story line to fall under my low expectations, come on its a horror movie, there wasn't goin to be a great story but at least come up with something better than 2 college kids and their buddy they just met go thousands of miles out of their way to try and get "pussy" in this no name city in czech republic, only to find it is a trap to kill people!
The first 30 mins are like a softcore porn but that is to be expected. I was also let down by the gore/torture scenes. The scenes were good, but not really long enough. Only short little glimpses of things.
All in all I wasn't to happy with this, I would give it a C to a C- call me desensitized from watching japanese and russian gore movies. Other people may like this a lot, but I found it under par.
