I had another weird dream lastnight. This one I mostly remember.

It started in a hotel/convention center lounge. I was bussing tables, in the lounge, and saw my parent's in line to go into one of the doors to a party. Apparenty there was a party going on inside one of the ball rooms or something. I ran over and said Hi and told them I was really suprisded to see them here in Portland. They went into the party and I went back to work in the lounge.

Throughout the dream I ran into:
-my aunt and uncle (as investment banker and lawyer)
-my sister (who was really drunk and teased me about "all my girlfriends")
-my sisters friend, *Amy (who I've had a crush on since I was 8.)
-my cousin Mike (who was a young 8yr old version of him, kind of like how I'll always remember 'Little Mikey', he's 21 now)
-my cousin Donny (who is my age. he was talking about his new band and the record deal they got. he's be an musician for years.)
-then finally my parents again (mom was wine-drunk and dad was talking about fishing, something we did together every summer)

I woke up from the dream and tossed and turned for quite sometime. I guess it made me feel a bit homesick. I'm super close with everyone in that dream.

After waking up, I realised something about *Amy. In the dream she was wearing thick leather strap bracletes and commented on how hers matched mine. I then made the connection and realised why she was wearing them. You see, a few weeks ago Amy called my sister in GA and told her to come visit because they had to talk about a recent hospital visit she had. She had tried to commit suicide. I don't really know if she had slashed her wrists or not. It was just really creepy to see her like that, even if it was just a dream.

Q: Do you belive dreams have deep seeded subconsious meaning or are just the product of weird current thoughts?

madness_____:
I believe dreams have a subconsious meaning, but only in relation to yourself. Anytime that they seem prophetic is when your subconsious makes a educated guess with any isoteric info that you heard somewhere before.

One from column A, one from column B. Sometimes I just have to work through things I can't handle in daily life, for example, and sometimes it's predictive or ...epiphanous? Is that a word? an "aha!" moment.

I'd think the upholstery tacks would be awfully uncomfortable to sit/lay down on. Chenille sounds damn keen though! Plus everyone would want to pet you and snuggle up with you. You'd have to be careful around cats though, some of them might want to get humpy with you, and that could be rather disconcerting. smile
