There's just something wrong with not having any hot water in December.
I took a shower late last night because we had no water all day... something about another water pipe break (oddly enough, that happens fairly frequently around here)... and there was like zero hot water. None. It wasn't "a little warm then turned cold," it was just fucking freezing. And today we still have no hot water. I know if I call management, they'll have no clue about what's going on... I'm wondering what I pay rent for...

I finally got impatient enough to call the office. Of course nobody else is having problems. *smirk* They're going to send a maintenance dude to come check out my heater. Hopefully soon. I don't feel like having blue hands after taking a shower again.

Well, an hour or so later, the maintenance guy showed up. He said that the element in my heater had burned out, and that usually when the water goes out like that, he'll go into the apartments and turn off the heater breakers so they don't have problems when the water comes back on; but that this time, he knew some of the elements in some of the apartments were fixing to go out, so he decided to leave the breakers on and change the elements if they burned out. (is it just me, or could this be read as "he let it happen?") Well, an hour or so after he changed the element, I got hot water again. Yay! Almost 2 days without hot water.
