Been really enjoying life lately even though I can hardly spend any money at all.
Listening to Conor Oberst tonight (Bright Eyes and also solo album). It's making me wash from happy to sad to happy in an ebb and flow of random selections. It's a real change for me lately seeing as how I've been listening to pretty much nothing but deathcore/death metal for a while. It's nice to change things up.
Called in sick today. Was going to go get my plates for my car tomorrow but I think I'm going to go ahead and wait until payday just because I have 968 dollars in the bank and a check for 900 dollars was handed to the dealership this morning which means...yeah. I'm going to be very really low on cash until Thursday.
It's really Autumn now. A month in and it's finally really feeling like it's all come about at once. We had an initial blast of chilly weather but then it warmed back up. Now it looks like it's all down the thermometer from here. Highs in the 60s next week and that's damn cold for Alabama.
I want to take leafy rides through country winding roads. I want to slip through clouds of fog on back roads in the wee hours of the morning before the daywalkers come alive. I want to have the heat on and the windows down. I want my first sight outside when I wake up to be the setting sun splashing pink orange blues across the dying trees. I want to spend my nights off doing more than being tired at home. I can relax when I'm dead.
But right now what I really want is simple: a cigarette.

i kinda feel silly sometimes, driving with the heat on and the windows down.. but i don't want to freeze! but i also hate how warm heaters get you sometimes. heh heh heh. i can't wait to go on a road trip in your new car! n_n
