as an artist, and more importantly an illustrator, i have always been very observant... i look at everything... but i look at the mechanics of every little detail rather than the object as a whole...
how does it work, what shape is it, how would i redraw it.... cars, flowers, people, buildings, chairs, windows, animals... everything...
so i have always been an observant person... why look straight ahead when i can look up down beside or behind me....
there is a point...
recently i bought a camera... a pretty good one... and decided i would take up photography and wanted some grounding before i went traveling... all the sketch book journals in the world wont come close to a well captured photographic one...
so... my outlook in life has change... my view and observation of the world is different... im still observant but i now notice it is in a different way... i now notice true beauty where i would never have seen it before.... its absolutely everywhere.... you just need to see it...rusty engines, run down building, over grown alley ways... everywhere.... i thought the area i lived was terrible, run down and disgusting... in fact it is a beautiful and truly eclectic mix of beauty... you will never find true beauty if you cant see beauty for what it truly is.... no matter where you look... you may appreciate a mountain range... but never truly see its beauty iof you can not see why... its shape, its form... it makes it no more beautiful than the rusty engine.... it just has has a different form shape and color...
people are no different... but thats not my point here
what i realised is as observant as i believed myself to be... i missed the point... its not that i couldn't see the woods through the trees its the opposite in fact all i could see was wood... not the beauty of the tree, not the forrest... just how it was made and how i could redraw it if need be...
but now everything around me has taken a new slant... i see beauty absolutely everywhere i turn... obviously not everything has this beauty but a hell of a lot more than people realise certainly is beautiful...
im just thankful i realised this before i left... i will now get so much more from everything,.. here, there or anywhere... maybe thats why its taken me so long to get out... the want to get out and change has taught me more lessons in this last year than all the lessons i'd learnt to date... and i haven't even left yet....
not long now though... will be booking the ticket in the next month or so... with the plan to leave not long after...
would continue as i have learnt number of other lessons in the past few weeks on a number of different topics.... but i feel i have rambled enough for now...
One cannot refuse to eat just because there is a chance of being choked....
extremely appropriate in england's current climate and condition
