ok, i, like many of you i'm sure, like to feed my brain
i like to know
knowledge is power and all that... no point being ignorant... i'd rather see the car that was about to hit me and maybe prepare for it rather than it catch me unawares and hope for the best...
anyway... my point is i like to fee my brain
as some of you may or may not know, at the moment i draw comics for a living, a job i have the luxury of doing from home. whilst drawing i have to keep my brain occupied, so i watch discovery, national geographic and the like. and, as any of you who stop by frequently know, i also watch a lot to do with the state of the planet...
and the general opinion is... we're screwed...theres spo many problems, all on us right now, there seems to be no way we can prevent it... although it's not beyond repair the problems are so many and so serious that all the experts now believe its a pretty safe bet we've screwed it.
the general opinion is we have 15-20 years left, in that amount of time its looking like we'll lose 50% of the land and 2 3rds of the plantes population
15-20 years... our life times... most of our parents life times... not a case of, our grand children but we'll be gone... no no no, we're not that lucky ladies and gents... our life time
but... this does not worry me and not where my point is heading, i'm growing to accept it... its the way it is, no point worrying, or moaning about all the ignorant fuckers who have contributed to this situation... no no no... i'll just get on with things and make sure i live out the next 15-20 years the best i can and experience as much of what this beatiful planet has to offer before it or i am gone...
anyway... my point is this...
we need to start o community now... how cool would that be, suigirlsville.
a small community developed and run by us...
every journal i read talks about how they want to get the hell out of where they are, somewhere new as theres nothing there for them any longer...
so we'll all move to the smae place... we'll either pick somewhere (high ground, good for boarding and when the water rises
) and all move there... or just pick a blank slate and make our own place...
how cool
it came to mind when i realised earlier there are very few people on here who i dont relate to in some way, or dont understand... and certainly no one as of yet i just plain do not like
we all like pretty much the same stuff... it couldnt be any better... what better way to survive the holocaust than in a community of people that can support one another, enjoy their company, enjoy the same activities, make the music we would want to hear, the art we would want to see.... the people we would want to make babies with for a new society
it seems to obvious to me.... i'm up for it...tell me where to move gang and i'm in there... either that or lets pick somewhere and we'll make plans for us all to start moving in their over the next few years...
not exactly what the rest of the world would consider utopia... tattos, piercings, metal, disturbing art, multi colored hair, mohawks, naked people... disturbing people... the rest of society might think that suigirlsville would be hell... to me... it'd be paradise

well, phlebotomy is drawing peoples blood. simple as that. i don't mind it so it wont be hard for me to do. and it is only about a 500 dollar certification. within 3 months i can get a job too! for being my age and not going to college 15 dollars an hour is way rad!
