I don't think its too much to ask for for something to go right for me.
I had yet another dismal show that not a lot of people came to. Better than last week, but I once again lost money. I did get to meet a crew of awesome guys from Massachusetts. But even with a local band, the show was stinky. The scene sucks. I'll be honest in saying that my goal was to recreate a little piece of colorado here, but its not going to work. Everyone wants everything without working for it. Sign of the times? I hope not.
And in a few hours I get to wake up and bury my grandpap. He was one hell of a guy. Anyone who ever met him liked him immensly. He'll be missed. The world is now a little less bright without him being here. Here's a quick thing about him. He used to sit on his porch and play his accordian. Which was connect to an amp and a half-stack. You could hear that thing across the entire town. It was awesome. I don't think you could get away with that nowadays. Growing up we didn't think it was that great, but looking back on it, I can't help but smile.
So tomorrow I carry him to his entombment and then I plan on getting very drunk.

sitting on the porch with the accordian is totally awesome! I can see how a kid might not think it was, but what a fond memory to look back on
the music scene is tough around here. I don't even know what kind of music Dead & Dishonest plays.. I'll have to try and make it to a show one of these days.
