What a week. I'm glad its Friday, but Monday is only 2 days away.
Is that a shitty outlook or what? I'm sorry, but that's how my job makes me feel. I've developed the viewpoint that it doesn't matter and its only a job to get me through the days. And for the most part it works. But that's not how I want to live.
We've been told that they can't justify giving us a raise this year, even though the company had its best year is sales last year (10.25 BBBBillion american dollars). And because some people are having negative reactions to some of the paints I work with, we're all going to be in space suits within the next few weeks. And I'm hot and sweaty in just a t-shirt under my lab coat!
The one bright point was a job that I bid on in a different group and a different location. Well, after a horrible fucking meeting I had today I went back to my lab to see a message telling me that I was passed over for it.
I just have to keep telling myself "Denver, Denver, Denver".
That will be me... but a dude.
okay, that's too depressing of an update. Here's some positives:
I'm looking at artwork tomorrow for my next tattoo, which I'm very excited about. I'd have it already if there was space on his calendar.
And the show I'm putting together for next month is going nicely. I'm going to pass out flyers and posters all over the burgh tomorrow. More details to follow on this.
