So, today I'm drinking because of 2 things...
the first is that I had to go to the funereal home today bacause the mother of someone I worked with past away. It is sad becuase a life had come to its end, but also can be somewhat redeemed by having a full life, which she apparently has had.
The second is because I look outside and I'm in Pittsburgh. Its not a good thing. I don't want to be tied to the place that I was born. I'd rather be in a place where I belong and feel happy. Which is a little further west of me. Its hard to stack one amazing weekend with my old friends against another in the same place looking at the same empty people. I'm convinced that the majority of the people in Pittsburgh are the ones without the courage to move onto better things. I don't want to be one of those people.
So, I raise a glass tonight for what was and what will be...
