To answer your question, my whole thing agaisnt the holidays is the hype. The thing is that I'm single, and not close to my family, so I don't really look forward to the holidays, when I have to either spend time with relatives that I don't have much in common with, or stay home and feel like a loser... and the hype only reinforces my feelings of alienation. And thanks to the greedy corporate marketing plans, it's all starting earlier... But I'll survive. After all, I've made it through all these years

By the way, I don't have any friends either! You can be my friend. ANd you're right. I hate top 5 lists, or anything that asks you to prioritize stuff. I love it all! I can't pick favorites!
