So...its a full moon tonight....I am in an odd frame of mind.....future, past and present are blurring for me and I am feeling my mortality more than usual tonight. So as usual I will try to put it into form for myself and others that is more understandable.

Drawn in fine lines and brilliant hues of passion and need
Am I a self portrait or someone else's work of art?

My body is stretched taut in desire like canvas over frame
Sometimes I miss all the clean, blank whiteness of purity that was my heart.

How many brushes have laid their myriad strokes upon my surface?
Some have been gentle dabs, others, fierce, bold dashes that saturated me in passion.

And when my portrait is finished in all its brilliant colours and artist's discretions....
Who will be left to judge whether it is beautiful in its own fashion?

But there I will hang upon a wall...in all my naked and exposed vulnerablility...
Every flaw in place, every simple line and softened curve for every eye to see.

Someday....perhaps someone will stop to wonder about such mortal exposure.
Perhaps someone will see themselves looking back when they look into the soul.....of me.
