just got home from rehearsal with the newly reformed band. Great fucking rehearsal! I've really missed playing my old songs and the new guys have such wonderful energy. i forgot how complex the arrangements are- they're deceptive. You think of just a couple of progressions, but there's a ton of time changes and stylistic nuances that each person has to learn.
now I've got to get my horn section put together. know any trombonists in san Diego?

Have you ever seen the Band in Black? I did sound for em last night.all Johnny Cash covers and some Hank thrown in for good measure. i was sad that it wasn't packed. they played vintage instruments and did pretty faithful recreations -fun to sing along to
