Arsenal played Portsmouth yesterday (we won 5-1) and the game started at 6pm and was being screened by BBC1, so because my night shift started at 7pm I thought I'd go in early, otherwise I'd miss the first half on my travel into work you see!
So anyway I made it in and watched the first half with the day shift, then they all went home and when the first half came to an end I went to the kitchen to speak to Paul (boss) who'd been on holiday for a week skiing in Vancouver. As I went in Mo turned up and went and sat down. During my conversation with Paul I noticed that Mo had moved my bag of food across the messroom table, had turned the football over to Carlton/LWT and was reading a paper. When I finished speaking to Paul, I went back into the messroom and Mo still had the paper out in front of him and was talking to Robin in Indian. I picked up the controller and turned back over to the football (yes perhaps it would have been polite to ask, but then he could have done the same) and sat down. As I was taking a seat, he turned back to channel 3 which was showing Love on a Saturday Night, 'Family entertainment show looking at all aspects of love, dating, attraction and romance, presented by Davina McCall'!
I said 'do you mind if I finish watching the football'.
Then he went off on one saying that I was 'fucking rude' and that I didn't ask to turn over. I said that I had been watching the football since 6pm and he said something about me being in the kitchen talking, to which I replied I had just gone to get a drink and got chatting to Paul during the interval. He carried on being abusive so I laughed in disbelief at his anger, said 'Right-o' and stood up and walked away from the argument.
As I walked away he said some more to which I replied 'Yeah what-ever'.
'What-ever what?' he asked.
I kept walking.
'You're fucking arrogant you are' he said and more.
'Christ I've heard it all now!' I laughed.
I made it in the office and asked Paul if I could put the telly on to watch the football and he had no objections. A short while later, perhaps only a minute, in burst Mo and he went off on one again pointing at me saying that I'm 'fucking arrogant' and 'fucking' this and that. I just sat there listening dropping in the odd 'yeah?' and 'ok'.
After a while and after a very brief pause he claimed 'You're a cunt face!'.
Well what could I do but laugh?
'Did you hear that?' I asked paul who sat there very quitely.
'How old are you?' I asked Mo.
'What?'
'How old are you?' I repeated.
He muttered some more then walked out.

Hmm.
