Well I'm back from Canada! Turned out to be quite a bizarre trip! 
For the first two days I went skiing, partly because a couple of the others did, but also I'm ok at it and can stay upright enough to enjoy it!
The third day I had a snow boarding lesson as documented in my last post! Plus met the crazy Canadian girl!
On the fourth day I dropped out of hitting the slopes again, mainly because I hit it far too hard the day before! Anyway I took the crazy Canadian girl out for dinner that night to a nice pub called <em>The Shady Tree</em>. We were there till gone midnight, the last ones out I think! Had a great time talking about all sorts! It's quite refreshing meeting someone from another country!
On the fifth day the guys picked me up from her place (which has the most amazing view of mountains out the living room window) and we went up to Whistler again yet thanks to me we got there quite late and so decided against snowboarding! I felt quite guilty so ended up buying the drinks in the bar!
Sixth day we went snowboarding and I had a few more falls and bumps! Wasn't really having much luck, or enjoying it for that matter!
On the seventh day we went snowboarding again. By now I was so bloody sore and knackered I wasn't really looking forward too it! Being stupid we got all the way to Whistler before I realised I'd left my boots at the apartment! *idiot* So I drove back and got them as they were rental ones and were due in that day anyway! Purchased an afternoon pass before hitting the slopes again, literally! Twice I fell over and heard bones click in my neck! I decided enough was enough and quit whilst I was still in one piece!
We got back to the apartment at around 6:45pm and I jumped in the shower and got ready and was out the door by around 7:00pm! I drove over to the crazy Canadian girl's as I decided to take her to see Hot Hot Heat instead of the guys (only had 4 tickets as I wasn't expecting one of the guys plus they weren't interested) but when I got there she wasn't ready to go out! She'd looked in the paper and hadn't seen it mentioned under The Red Room's listings and so thought I'd got it wrong! I explained it was a secret gig so she quickly got ready and out we went!
Anyway, had an amazing night! Took a while to find the place, plus was a bit shocked to findout Hot Hot Heat weren't on till midnight! Once in I was amazed just how initmate the gig would be! The place was just a bar so there was only hundreds of people in there rather than thousands! The support was Bend-Sinister (bought their cd as we left) and You Say Party! We Say Die! Both were really good! Hot Hot Heat were great though, played quite a bit of new material which sounded good!
Next day I said goodbye to the crazy Canadian girl, having swapped addresses in order to keep in touch. She's mentioned about me coming out in the summer which would be cool! Not sure if I will be able to afford it though, flights alone are 2 or 3 times the price in summer! Went back to the apartment and packed, then set off for the airport! A 4 hour delay was not appreciated very much though I did sleep on the plane!
Thursday night I managed to get 12 hours sleep however I haven't slept at all since Friday lunchtime and it's now 7am on Saturday! I didn't go to bed till late but got bored of just lying there so figured I would blog!
