happy st. patty's day. a friend and i are going down to syracuse to celebrate our distant, distant irish heritage. i think we'll have a good time. it's always good to get out of the dreary town where no one gives two shits about people in my line of work. sometimes i wish people didn't ask what i do for a living. it's just easier if they don't know. everyone seems to have an opinion of my profession and it get's annoying. i guess being in the army does say something about my character, but there's more to me of course and sometimes others just stop looking after the dreaded "where do you work?" question.
