I HAVE ARRIVED!
After joining a looong time ago, I have finally added a profile... plus, I grew tired of all the picketers outside my house demanding I make a journal entry!
Well, what's new (um.. everything I guess, since this is my first entry).
I probably would have done this sooner, if I had any sort of internet access, but for the last few months I've been living and working waaaaaaaay up north in the oil fields of northern Canada. One day in early Feb. I just decided I was sick of it all and I needed a change, so I marched down to both my jobs and quit right away. Within a week I was on a bus up north, and a day after that I was hard at work in the middle of the woods!
THAT was a change, lemme tell you... every day I got to ride in a helicopter, walk through scenery that was like nothing I've ever seen before, cross rivers and ice flows, and dodge angry moose! All in the name of OIL.
HARD WORK it was, but I like it way better than managing the restaurant, or working at the video store... but, there was no phone, and certainly no internet access!
SO, here I am... my company laid us off for the summer, and I got back home a few days ago. My internet is re-connected, and now all of you get to put up with my thoughts and random outbursts! HOORAY!
