I've been so busy lately, I'm exhasted.

I just started a new job Monday night. Hopefully I'll start getting some regular, busy nights so that I can cut back a few days at my other job. It will be so nice to have a tipping job again. It's nice when hard work and friendliness and so on actually gets you something. Is a little appreciation so much to ask for?

At my other job I wonder why I bother. It's like, there's really no point in caring whether the silverware is straight, or the buffet is set up right and looks nice, or the customers' food is just right, because I don't get any compensation for my extra effort, and no one even seems to notice. At the same time, I can't not care, because I have a good work ethic, and I'm just particular about certain things. So the two sides clash, and I just get pissed off.

So, needless to say I'm really excited about the new job. I'm bar-backing, and I'll be able to start doing some bartending pretty quickly, which is what I'd really rather do.

Thursday night I get to work the two jobs back to back. Lucky me. At least I can drink at the second one...
