Good news.
I got my internship at the French Embassy for this year, which will make it loads easier to get my job at the American Embassy in Paris when I leave for Paris next year.
In other news, I got a new computer. I made the switch-over to Mac. It was time. So I have a pretty little 15" powerbook. That and all the accessories I could charge to my mom's credit card without exceeding 3000 dollars. Yes. Computer situation is looking up. So now I have this 6 month old Dell. Maybe I'll use it as a glorified paperweight. Stupid fucking PC.
I went to the beach last weekend. East Hampton again this weekend. I also tried to catch up with some friends. A lot of people were in town last week. I haven't had my room to myself in months.
Interesting first experience for me: I was ditched... stood up. I'm not sure of the reason, but I don't really want to find out. It was an unpleasant experience, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. But because of it, I was able to see my friend before she left for Chicago. Yay!
I saw Batman yesterday with my best friend, I really liked it. I think he actually liked it as well. That's rare.
This week I'm having 2 picnics in the park., on two separate occasions. And by picnic I mean we're bringing 3 thermoses full of expensive wine, and some cheese. Afterall, who really eats these days ?!
