So I spent yesterday re-reading The Catcher In The Rye for the 7 quadrillionth time. It's one of my favorites. It really is one of the most brilliant pieces of literature that analyzes the very fundamental aspects of human nature and specifically questions the loss of compassion and innocence in society. It's a classic for a reason. (Ew. I sound like Cliff's Notes.) Anyway. I Love JD Salinger.

Mother's day was wonderful, my dad made a beautiful dinner for all of us and it was really really nice being able to see my family.

Some of my finals are coming up NEXT WEEK! eeek eeek EEK!!! I think I'm prepared though, i have a lot of studying I need to do, but I'm positive I will do well. I'm kind of iffy about my English grade because my professor is such a douche, but whatever. I can always talk to the head of the department if it's too big of a problem. We'll see.

I feel like sharing this. I wrote a letter to my friend explaining why I love infinity. There are many things I associate with infnity, this being my favorite:

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Ever since I was little I have always taken great pleasure in looking into the reflective metal paneling of the shelves in the refrigerated dairy section of the grocery store and seeing myself reflected infinitely amidst the milk cartons and eggs. I always imagined I was Alice in Wonderland, and if I believed hard enough I would fall through my reflections into a different world because all of the negative space around me seemed to eventually reflect itself into that black and futureless void. We used to have a 3-way partition mirror in our house that could be folded like an accordion door. When I was small I would curl myself into the fetal position and kaleidoscope myself into the mirror, folding the partitions around me and just stare at the countless number of my own pale blue eyes staring back at me. I felt infinite. I felt invincible. And I destroyed that mirror when I was 10. I remember the way it looked when it shattered. My eyes were splintered shards and there was even more of me than I had ever seen before.
