Joining in on this @bloghomework topic from @lyxzen @rambo @missy for the Best Worst Valentine's Ever! I'm sure a lot of people have some hate towards Valentine's Day when they are single or miserable or feeling down and I have been there and had a "fuck Valentines" year here or there.. but the Valentine's Day that comes to mind for being "the worst" would have to be last year's ! What happened that day while spending the day at work was a bit depressing! I am a hair stylist, and we got 3 deliveries to the salon during that day of flowers... chocolate covered strawberries.. more flowers.. and each time I would look up and get excited thinking " oooh, surely those will be for me" .. and each time they weren't.
A little later in the day we see a delivery guy pull up to the front door, and he is frantically going from the front to the back of his van like he is looking for something.. a balloon came out of the van, he shoved it back in.. he looks pissed and then gets back in his van and speeds off. We all wondered what it was about.
I went home to my fiance at the time ( now husband) and he is so upset and says that Valentine's day is ruined and he got a call from the flower shop saying that they "weren't able to deliver the flowers and could give him his money back and a 15% off coupon for another time". He had also planned on the card with the flowers being my paper valentine that he had something sweet written on, but of course I didn't receive that either, so not only did I feel a little sad, so did my sweetheart who tried to do something sweet for me and they messed it up! He said he would have to make it up to me. He had originally ordered some stargazer lillies for me because he knew i would like the name ;) Sooooo.. needless to say last year was a total bummer and I am hoping for a better Valentine's Day this year! I gave the flower shop a phone call to give them a piece of my mind and tell them I saw the guy there and that he just gave up and they gave me the generic " ma'am we do apologize and can give you a 15% off coupon" answer. Assholes. HA!
I think of the movie Valentines Day where the delivery guy has all of the flowers and valentines fall out of the back of the truck and that poor kid doesn't have his order delivered! lol.. So that is that!
Ps- I have been doing some lingerie shopping for Valentine's this year ;) woohoooo
