Ugh, I hate working with my friend sometimes. He got promoted to tier two support and I am in tier one, mainly because I don't want to move up and didn't go for a higher position, anyway he has this issue with people shifting work onto him and we got into a yelling match today because he pretty much ignored a mistake that I escalated up to him even though he recognized it and emailed me about it. He still finished the report and the client is now going to get the wrong information. Well I asked him next time if something like this happens to not finish the report and let me know so I can fix my request. His position is that it isn't his job to tell me when I do something wrong and that I should just do it right. An interesting perspective, I want to do things right but mistakes do happen. Anyways he doesn't care what I am saying about it and just tells me I am wrong and talks down to me. So I go to our supervisor and explain the situation and she ends up having a conversation with him about it since realistically he is causing clients to get bad information by sending out bad work, which I admit is my bad in the first place, and now he won't talk to me for the rest of the night. It's pretty awesome.
