I experienced something I haven't experience before, outside my job or at my job. I had to do a wellness check with one of my residents today. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's when you go to check if somebody is ok or alive. Apparently police in my state can't perform them anymore... So I had to do it. I unfortunately found him passed away in his unit... Michael Vietnam veteran with PTSD and was a severe alcoholic. He lost his wife and mother a couple months ago, which put him over the deep end. He was a very nice man! What a shame...
